About
Who?
Burning World is run by two people, Thomas Collins and Carter Hansen.
Tom Collins currently has a large cut on his thumb, on a side note, he his attending a technical college, then plans to attend university for engineering degrees… and maybe make some money in a few years. Tom is currently reviewing his update schedule.
Tom’s favoured medium is charcoal, and spends a good amount of time playing video games and drawing.
Carter Hansen has always had something funny to say and a real passion for computers, it was just a matter of time before a site like this emerged. Although only doing digital art for about a year he had been drawing for as long as he could remember.
Starting to excel in computers since grade 2 (Apple II) Carter has yet to slow down. Now taking on more advanced programming languages such as C++ and PHP combined with an ongoing effort in mastering the Linux/ Unix operating system.
Carter started his first website at the age of 12. Looking back it really sucked.
I am West, a new member of the BurningWorld staff. I manage the West’s Wall section of the website, which features random bits of content and updates every Wednesday.
I was born in Wyoming, grew up in Idaho and Minnesota, and now I am a college student in Wisconsin. I met Tom through an internet community about five years ago. He introduced me to Carter who offered me a position here, and I couldn’t turn it down. I have a cat named Ludwig who is about 13 years old, he is pretty cool.
I am actually a very bad artist. I will be submitting comics in my section now and then because that is the nature of this website, but don’t expect anything phenomenal. My primary goal is to bring traffic to the website and do my best to help build up the BurningWorld community.
Equipment
Both Tom and Carter use Wacom tablets, tom uses a 6 x 8 Wacom Graphire, while Carter uses his 9 x 12 Wacom Intuos3.
Both Tom and Carter use Adobe Photoshop CS2
West uses a mouse, and sometimes digs in using a touch pad.
West’s primary medium is MS paint (or Gmod).
More to come. Ask a good question and I will answer it here.
